Jeff Tipps Posted September 5, 2006 Report Posted September 5, 2006 All of the motoring press reviews seem quite favourable of the MK3, but I have not seen any owner reviews yet. I will post an unbiased review after a few days. How on earth will you manage that :D You can't possibly do an unbiased view when you've got the thing can you. I'll be interested in your 'slightly' biased comments though, hope you don't get a puncture on boxing day, your 'unbiased view' will certainly change then. I have only once had to call a tyre company out on boxing day (to a company car thank god) it was just short of Quote
Guest HairyPlateEater Posted September 6, 2006 Report Posted September 6, 2006 Brother in laws BMW has run flats and it has destroyed the normal BMW feel of the car. Rides more like a Galaxy lol :D Quote

Guest stawarz Posted September 7, 2006 Report Posted September 7, 2006 Had a look over a Ghia when our local Fraud dealer just got their showroom model a month ago (and again yesterday when collecting the Fiesta from its service). Mixed thoughts about the new Gal. On the plus side:1. Looks more modern.2. Lower entry which is a plus when you have a child with special needs as you don't have to lift them as far.3. More cohesive internal and dash.4. Stowable rear seats5. Lovely panorama sunroof (shame it's such an expensive option). On the minus side:1. In our current Galaxy I can position the drivers seat and the ones in the rows behind in such a way that I can sit comfortably in any row (I'm 6'2"), couldn't in the new one (so is it bigger in the inside?)2. With the last row fully back and putting a buggy in the back the boot area didn't appear much larger.3. Floor to ceiling with the seats down is lower also the distance from behind the drivers seat (in my seating position) to rear door sill is less.4. Those annoying catches to hold the seat covers when the stowable seat are stowed are asking to be broken off the first time you load up with long bookcases at IKEA. The dealer said that Ford will be changing this to velco, but when?5. Cruise control is now an option on the diesels!!!! So no compelling reason to change, will give it a year to see what problems get reported. A VW Caravelle T3 is becoming a better proposition, except the cost... Quote
