just a little rant about dealer i bought my galaxy off last month.

i saw the galaxy there and just had to have it ( you know that feeling )

gleaming in black with the tinted rear windows it looked brill, took it for test drive and all was great

then when back at dealers the sales yap started saying you gota be fast as there are other couples waiting to test drive hhhhhhhmmmmmmm yea right. told him dont rush me and give up on the hard sell id heard it all before. so part ex price was ok so time to strike the deal. then i checked service book .... it was due second service 20000 mile. guy checks with boss and yes it would be done, then came the one owner bit..... it was hertz hahahahahahaha some one owner, still car ran great so i still wanted it. deal done .

when looking at galaxy in showroom it had back two seats down, silly me didnt check till i got home no headrests there.

next step get my mechanic to check it over and what a surprise they had stamped service book but didnt do service.

i complained by phone and letter but they swear blind car was checked over but no way had they said it would be a full service and book was stamped because it had been checked all over ( iffy garage me thinks maybe )

end result is i been told by friends etc that it would be a nightmare fighting it. and i didnt get rear headrests either grrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

then to cap it all off i had the galaxy washed today and heck they use thick polish as now you can see all the scratches that garage had hidden ( they all do that i think ) i want that polish ......

thats my rant and moan over

so if you dont want to buy an ex rental car with hidden marks and a fake service

dont deal with .....

hi, as much as i sympathise i'd ammend the fraud bit with thier name, they may see this as slander

if they stamped the book as serviced but have told you they didn't do it (checking over doesn't change oil etc) and said that they wouldn't then surely it is fraud - it has cost the money needed for the parts and labour for the service

if i had the money, i would drive the car back, and smash the garage with it.

but thats me lol

then when they try to get me, my excuse is "its an automatic and the garage did not show me how to use it"

then claim compensation

LMAO omg it goes on and on...

i wouldnt really do that but i would like to...

its difficult without the full facts , re; headrests you had ample time to inspect the vehicle, re service if they agreed on a service you should have got a service if they said pdi, then not , i would always get anything in writing on the order form, before you sign, if your mechanic has touched the vehicle that has destroyed the evidence and could also viod any warranty liability with the garage if they found out, you'd heard all the sales patter before and were obviosly on your gaurd ,you happily signed an agreement to purchase, you could persue through the small claims court ,but if your happy with the car take it as a lesson learnt , by the way the scratches autoglym resin polish, buff light scratches first with g10 compound & elbow greace

:D A few months after buying my first diesel Gal 115 2002 i decided to do a oil and filter change. So off i go to my local Fraud dealer to buy the oil and filter, whilst paying the top grease monkey (supervisor) came into the reception. I asked him could you tell me if the filter is done from underneath or on top please as ive never done the Gal oil before. Oh its done from underneath sir, thanks very much i say and off i go.

well i wont even tell you how long i spent looking for that bloody filter. Anyway once found it the job was so easy but would have been a lot quicker if i hadnt of asked.

The same dealer serviced a V6 Mondeo for me a couple of years ago. Booked in two weeks in advance but when i collected the car was told.... you will have to bring the car back sir as we dont have any spark plugs for it. I said your a main dealer for gods sake but needless to say i had to take the car back 3 days later.

When you consider what thease places charge for their parts and labour etc i dont think its too much to ask for a bit of good sevice.

Moan over................for now

I suspect the car was less than if you went to a ford dealer. They may have said they would service it but very often they give a pre delivery service. however they should not have stamped the book if you can prove that. Take it to trading standards. First thing is get it serviced. Then send them the bill.

Head rest . Sorry this should have been picked up at test drive.
