Ogben Schmutzel Posted August 26, 2006 Report Posted August 26, 2006 Hi All, Anyone know where the remote sensor is on the Alhambra? Although it always works, my remote key blipper often doesn't work first time and needs a couple of clicks. I have changed the battery in the key but it hasn't improved and I am wondering if it could be an 'aim' problem, like it I knew where to point it, it might improve!! Or maybe its another idiosyncrasy of the car!! Any thoughts? Ta.Oggy. Quote

Dave-G Posted August 26, 2006 Report Posted August 26, 2006 Don't laugh at this till you try it... Get to a distance where your remote don't work... look at the car... point the key to your brain and press the button :) Don't ask me... try Jeremy Clarkson :) However - If you mean the remote locking sensors - somewhere near the tops of the front and rear screens. :P Quote
NikpV Posted August 26, 2006 Report Posted August 26, 2006 However - If you mean the remote locking sensors - somewhere near the tops of the front and rear screens Certainly were on the old IrD remote locking, the manual for the mk2 galaxy says point remote at the rear view mirror when programming but I reckon this is just a hold over from the old IrD system. As you can see from the diagram (based on LHD sharan which is all I could find) in the thread below there is nothing at the top of the windscreen, IIRC the antenna is in the control box - couldn't confirm this though Link to thread with remote locking components Quote
