Opening Jammed Door

Just got back from holiday and the kids couldn't get out of the n/s rear door.

 

Tried various ways of opening it, but the inside handle stays in the locked position.

 

Any ideas?

 

 

Also had the coil pack fail while on holiday. I could see the spark tracking up the casing. AA man had one on the van!!!

as 4 the coil pack had out focus one done a while back at frauds at a total cost of

hi - can't remember model/year of car :( butb possible broken wire in the boot between door and piller - try opening passenger door an you can see/fiddle with the n/r rear boot - may get a contact to get the door open - assuming atm you are getting no noise from the lock in the door when using the cl

Got it done - forced the handle bezel off, got the cable out of the handle, applied mole grips, pulled :(

 

Tried locking/unlocking with mole grips - worked fine.

 

Tried locking/unlocking with handle - don't work - must be a stretched cable.

 

Mole grips are installed until I can get a new cable, plus door trim clips, cos' I know they'll break removing the door card.

 

The motor was disconnected a couple of weeks ago due to a locking then unlocking problem, will reconnect when the cable is replaced to see if that was the fault.
