could anyone please tell me the software code for the instrument cluster on my 96 gal 2.8v6 auto with abs,

have tried 00116 but the clocks wont work.

could it be faulty clocks? there are no fault codes on vag.com.

they aree not the multifunction clocks (i.e. - no display in tacho) with only one plug in the back.

can you put the old cluster back in a read the code from that??

unfortunately the old unit is completely u/s, it was taken completely to bits by the previous owner.

if so could somebody look it up as i wont have my copy for 2 days.

i really need to get the instruments working so my wife can take control of the car.
