Marky Posted August 26, 2006 Report Posted August 26, 2006 Stevie...I know what u mean...keep looking at mine thinking 'its a good job I ain't been over to france cos I could get 50 illegal immigrants under each arch!' What I have found though is alot of the alhambra's were fitted with the eibach kit as standard without anyone knowing..as they all went down the same track I wonder how many gals/sharans had them fitted without realising after a nice sleepy siesta !!! Marky, That sounds about right! Looks like we lucked out and got springs from a 1972 Land Rover!! I keep telling the kids that they can't keep hiding under the wheel arches when they are playing hide & seek!! Can't wait to see what it will look like when it has been dropped! Quote

Hehehe...you are right about the LRV springs (they still fit them, I know, I work there!) Adrianf beat me to those wheels by about 5 minutes! He bought them from steve and I'm still gutted ( ) They look great on his gal though... Now beginning to wish I'd gone for the 50mm like you but it'll be interesting to exchange pics/views on them.Mine cost Quote

I spoke to Seat UK about this when I was looking at slamming my Galaxy and was told by a couple of their dealers and by their tech dept that they cant get replacements parts for these kits! and use standard OE parts as replacements  they said that although they fit these kits in the factory they cannot get them and they were not available as replacement parts over the counter! I even tried to get a couple of the rear sports shocks from my local dealer and he said the same thing to me! although I was lucky and found that VW do stock them and they will sell you the parts over the counter :D so if you want to go even further and replace the anti roll bar bushes etc with uprated sports versions they are available :D but you will need to buy the larger diameter anti roll bars and mounts in order to get them to fit  Quote

It listed EVERY spring/shock arrangement ever fitted and they were quoting me 80quid + vat per spring before i supplied them with the eibach kit part number which they then gave me the four springs for 108 quid....work that out then!!??!!??!!??!! Ta for the info on the bushes...might look into that next... Quote
