:) my lights on my mk1 galaxy i think are crap have upgraded the bulbs but still no better , problem was drove a mk2 and they were amazing , anyone know of replacement lights cheap ones preferably as wife and kids rightfully nick all my money ;) thanks for help on my other question csj

Yep, have to agree.

I changed to those Xenon ones but although they seem whiter instead of the yellow look, they're still shite!

 

I thought they might need realigning but not convinced.

 

Any idea's would be great?

You can get an HID kit, expensive though.

 

Very, very bright in the dry but I'm a bit uncertain about wet conditions.

 

 

 

sorry to be thick but whats a hid kit . ta :)

Just do a Google search for HID Kit, you'll the H4 kit for the Mk1.

 

It's a complete replacement for lamps, they are High Intensity Discharge lamps and need a ballast to lift the striking voltage to about 50KV (I think that's right).

 

Once fitted you'll need your headlights realigning. The lamps should last the lifetime of the vehicle.
