dont be so negative mumof4, it s not your fault that the dog was not on a lead and being looked after, i know its sad but the owner only has thereselves to blame imo

That may be so...it probably was their fault for mellow being loose.I have never harmed another living soul...be it animal or human...i might want to punch various peeps but i dont...it has hit me hard i think because it wasnt an unknown pet...i knew mellow from when he was a pup..he was just over a yr old..he socialised with my dog as they are the same age..i knew him..his owners were my friends..if it had of been a dog where i had no connection at all then i may be feeling diff..i dont know..i knew mellow as well as i know my own pooch.

i knoow what you mean but it was circumstances that were out of your control, i understand the personal connection but it wasnt your fault, if the friend/owner is blaming you it only cos they dont want to take the blame for it being loose in the first place, they are in denial im afraid,
