Tdi Vs 2.3 + Lpg

Does anyone have any views on whether the TDI is a better long term bet than a 2.3 Gal with official LPG conversion? I know there's an issue with the channel tunnel with LPG but it seems like it would do more MPG and cost less to fill than diesel at the moment.

 

Anyone have an LPG galaxy and how have you found it?

I've wondered the same and concluded that I'll stick with the TDi. Once everyone switches to LPG the government will stick the tax up (like they've done with diesel).

 

Where do you get the idea that LPG would give better mpg, I thought it would be similar to petrol?
