Guest n-peckdd Posted August 12, 2006 Report Posted August 12, 2006 Hi All, Can anyone out there describe how to get at the relays on a 99 2.3 Ghia X please? I have removed the fusebox covers & the lower dash on the drivers side but no sign of relays yet. I understand from the Haynes (not always reliable) manual that they are situated in levels 2 & 3 in the central junction box. Any help would be most appreciated. Thanks, Paul. Quote
bigdaddy Posted August 12, 2006 Report Posted August 12, 2006 The relays are behind the fuse box,,,,,,,IIRC you need to pivot the fuse panel down and you can access the relays,,,,,,,,,,,,,,IIRC the is a section on it somewhere,,,,,,try a search :) :D Quote

Guest n-peckdd Posted August 13, 2006 Report Posted August 13, 2006 Hi Hope this helps you as much as it helped me. What an excellent resource this site is !!http://www.fordgalaxy.org.uk/ford/index.ph...c=8810&hl=fusesDanny Many thanks Barry, Just what I was looking for. I just got too frustrated in trying to separate level 1 form level 2 yesterday....thus my plea for help. It's just a shame that Galaxy's are so unreliable & Ford repair costs so high that we as owners have become a DIY pit crew for ailing GALS. What makes matters worse is GALS are so damn tight on space for access you need to be a contortionist! surely there must be better locations to site the relays!! Give me my old Scorpio any day!! I'm almost sorry I started to fix the old girls niggles......what started with replacing the seized up wiper assembly has now become almost a Ford mechanics induction course. Thanks to all for your replies. Paul. Quote
