junglejim Posted August 9, 2006 Report Posted August 9, 2006 Hi. I've just registered to this fantastic forum Hi. I've just (over the last few minutes) registered to this forum and would like to thank you all for saving my sanity over the last few weeks. I have had my Galaxy for just over a year, most of the time with little problem. However, I Have just had the most unbelievable run of bad luck!! It started with an alloy cracking than I seemed to be getting a new problem every week!!!!Last week I unseized the wipers, tomorrow is the maf and an intermittent headlamp motor!! Aircon pipe has split also and have found a thread for that as well. Fortunately, I was a mechanic for 10 years so not afraid of having a go!. I was beginning to think I had bought a crock and was ready to push it down the road and set fire to it!! then I found this extreeeemely useful site and more poor souls with the same faults! Rang Ford dealer today to ask for alloy price-- Quote
Dave-G Posted August 9, 2006 Report Posted August 9, 2006 Every car has issue's mate this one seems to have loads because ... there are loads of them about, in various forms. Also they generally belong to a person who will try to fix it themselves. Quote

sparky Paul Posted July 16, 2007 Report Posted July 16, 2007 (edited) I have had my Galaxy for just over a year, most of the time with little problem. I know this is an old thread, but I know just how you felt. This car has driven me nuts over the past month or two. Mine started with the bust rear wash pipe flooding the footwell, then two exhaust hangers broke off, then the wiring broke in the tailgate anaconda. I then had to replace the N/S headlamp due to an encounter with a stone. After that, the windscreen wiper rack seized. Now the auxiliary belt tensioner is squeaking, the clutch release bearing is whining, and to put the top hat on it, the aircon pipe is blowing green goob through a pinhole where it goes through the undertray. Aaaargh! Now where's my pills... :) Edited July 16, 2007 by sparky Paul Quote
seatkid Posted July 16, 2007 Report Posted July 16, 2007 But think of how much money it would cost you if you just put your car into a dealer and said the magic words... "I think somethings wrong....can you fix it?" Quote
