Guest AndyMondeo Posted August 8, 2006 Report Posted August 8, 2006 Hi guys and gals, i am the proud owner of a P reg Mk1 Ford Mondeo Verona that has done 93,500miles. The problem ive got is that when the car is cold, i.e. not been used for at least 5 hours, for the first 5 minutes i get a loud squealing noise coming from the front drivers side. It seems to be loudest when the car is deccelerating and im not braking. My Dad said is could be the bearings on the water pump and to keep an eye on my water level, but im not so sure and would like some ideas. The MOT is next month and i dont want to pay lots of money for the engine to blow up. Thanks in advance for any ideas Andy Quote
Guest Tony Clarke Posted October 14, 2006 Report Posted October 14, 2006 Sounds like it could be a loose alternator belt to me. Quote
