Guest arsalansaljoqi Posted August 6, 2006 Report Posted August 6, 2006 Hi all, I have a 98 ford KA. i recently changed the battery but after that i was asked to put in a code.I was told that theres a serial number on back of my car's cd player which using that i can unlock my cd player. I just want to know how exactly i can take out the cd player, cause there's hardly any screws. Thank you
Guest Chris Twigg Posted August 6, 2006 Report Posted August 6, 2006 Doubt the code will be on the back of the radio. Kinda riuns the idea of a security code to stop theft if you put the number on the item don't it?Usually on a card or written in the hand book if OE.

I perviously went to a web site, that i think was from Ford itself where if u puted the serial no of your radio they would of given you the security code. But the big thing that i want to know now is how i can take off the cd plyaer, Thanks
Guest arsalansaljoqi Posted August 8, 2006 Report Posted August 8, 2006 Any IDEAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSSS ? ???? :)
Guest godber Posted August 12, 2006 Report Posted August 12, 2006 If it's the Ford radio then on the front panel there are 4 small, square holes (2 on the left and two on the right). You need to insert a tool into these holes to push back the clips behind. This will release the radio and you'll be able to pull it out. You can buy these radio release tools on ebay or any good motorfactor or just use some small screwdrivers (be careful of the fascia). The Ford electronic parts manual has the radio codes in it, pm me if you want more info.Ad.

Guest JJ87 Posted August 14, 2006 Report Posted August 14, 2006 on the left hand side of the radio, you will see two wholes (quite close to eachother) and on the right hand side you will see exactly the same. you need to buy some removal tools, i know halfords sell them because i work there! (
