Guest 3george Posted August 6, 2006 Report Posted August 6, 2006 I had the front windscreen replaced on my MY2004 Alhambra a week or so back and I now appear to have lost all interior lights / courtesy / reading lights / boot light etc. I thought at first they might have left an earth disconnected but a meter shows earth continuity but no +12v to any of the lights. I think a fuse has gone but I've checked the 3A one marked for interior lights and that appears OK. Everything else appears OK, the windscreen is heated and this appears to function ( at least I hear the relay engage! ) Can anybody offer any advice, are there any other fuses or connectors that they might have disturbed which would have caused this. Autoglass are coming out to look again in the next week or so but I thought I ask here to see if it was something straightforward to resolve. TIA - 3george. Quote

Rallim Posted August 6, 2006 Report Posted August 6, 2006 Having just fitted an auto dipping rear mirror to my mk2 Sharan, I have had the A pillar liners off, the interior lighting loom runs up left side of the windscreen, at the base by very small window under the vent there are terminal blocks. Maybe when they changed the windscreen the disturbed the loom or the block? :) According to the VW CD the interior lights are off Fuse 53 for mine a 2001 and a 2004 model. Gordon Quote

Guest 3george Posted August 10, 2006 Report Posted August 10, 2006 was it hard to fit the auto dimming mirror and what bits was needed thank you Thanks guys - turned out it was a fuse but a smaller one than I've seen before. Not quite sure why there are two different types. Quote
Rallim Posted August 12, 2006 Report Posted August 12, 2006 was it hard to fit the auto dimming mirror and what bits was needed thank you It wasn't too bad, I got my info from this thread & a wiring diagram... Auto Dipping Mirror I found the switched power at the connector under the front dash left speaker. Gordon Quote
