02 Galaxy 2.8 V6

I was putting the electric window down on the driver's side when there was a large clunk/crash type noise. The window stopped halfway down. It wound back up, and would go down - but only half way. I put it back up and left it til I had a chance to remove the door shield/trim etc and peer inside.

So, I found hanging on a cross rail, a shiny piece of metal and a piece of rubber. The rubber was cracked where it was creased. It looks like the rubber comes from inside the metal where a screw clamps the metal together.

$64M - where does it come from, go back? I am guessing it attaches to the window - hence the rubber inside the clamp. But orientation, purpose? I show the pieces in a picture below. Any help welcome...

Worked it out and put back together...

Bottom support for the glass - it clamps onto the glass and fits into the plastic lifty up and down thing. There's two at the bottom of the glass, one for each vertical track.

Yup had the same problem but instead of putting the rubber bit back broken I used a bit of inside tubing from a bicycle because no matter how hard I tried I could not get just the rubber from any dealer .

I'm having a problem with my passenger side window that could be being caused by one of the 2 brackets coming loose.........the window seems to be loose and rocks in the channels - not always closing fully unless I give one end a nudge.

If you did take a picture of the stripped door and the mechanism could you post it please???????? This will help me to come up with a plan of action before I start to strip the door.

Did you manage to get your door trim off without damaging the plastic clips?????

I get a loud click (or small bang) when the passenger window gets about halfway down did you notice this before your problem?

Just wonder if I am about to get the same job to do?
