Hi

Have found that some nasty liquid (McShake I reckon) :( may have been spilt over the cup holder H/U and Climate Control panel.

I'd not tested the Air Con when buying the car a week or so ago because I knew the Condensor needed replacing, so my plee is this.

When switching ignition on (before starting the car) the Climate Panel flashes and shows random characters, this stops once the engine is running, is this normal?

And has anyone successfully cleaned one of these units, the fan speed buttons for instance work but are sticky in operation, if so what did you use?

If cleaning doesn't work then I guess I need to replace, has anyone had to do so before and is it a plug and play job? and any idea of the cost :(

Thanks for any help/guidance and aplolgies for the rambling

The panel flashes to show that there is a fault on the air conditioning system, the sticky buttons can be pulled off and cleaned, as I did the same when bought mine. The topic of A/C faults is a very very popular one, use the search facility at the top of this page to find answers to your query, or read some of the 220+ replies on the following most popular topic of all time below: :(
