New Car New Problems

HI.My first post.

Got my self a mk2 01 galaxy 115ps.

The problems I am having is this.Wipers go slow.Now they stop now and then.Turn ignition off then onn all ok.Relay of eath I think.Cant find relays also doesnt list 1 for front wipers.

sounds like your spindles are seizing..common prob at the mo..relays i dont know, but the fuse is in the main fuse feed box under the bonnet.

Hi Dredge,

 

As with MO4 and others including myself this problem is becoming very common in 1st phase of MK2 Shalaxy's. I would attend ASAP.

Anyway welcome to forum. Here's a few threads on the subject.

I don't think thats the problem cos they dont judder.Also when they stop mid screen, if u turn ignition off then on they work ....then stop

Could be water in the motor, check to see if the connector is wet.

the 2000 onwards modle does not use a relay for the wipers.

they are controled by the central control unit which is part of the main fuse box.

we have an 02 plate galaxy the wipers have failed on,the washers have stopped,the rear wiper starts when you pull or push the stalk.

i am waiting for new control unit to arrive.
