Button On Top Of Integrated Child Seat

I've just uncovered a button on my integrated child seat, at the top of the seat back and normally hidden by the headrest/shoulder pads. It is stamped 'Press', but when I did I couldn't see anything happening.

 

Anyone know what this is for?

Is this at the bottom of one of the two Headrest posts?

 

If so I'd've thought it was the release button to enable the headrest to be removed so the childs neck support can be taken off and the seat returned to adults only mode.

I know which button you mean Timsbamma, but this one is between the two slots for the headrest. This is an oval-shaped button that presses into the seat.

When you press it, it reels in the harness on the child seat, or lets it out.

Yep spotted that last night, must admit I'd wondered how to adjust.

 

Bit strange because the other 'child' seat doesn't have the button and has adjusters on the 'chest' straps

Thats what its supposed to do - on one of our child seats it doesn't do much but on the other two it does - works better without the child sitting in the seat though

Thanks for the info folks - i don't use the child belts so it would have been a while before i figured that out :)
