I have recently bought a Ford Galaxy 2.3 ghia on a 2002 plate. Whilst trying to spur a power cable from the vcr I have managed to short something. I get no response from the vcr and I think I must have blown a fuse but I cant find where it is. Please help me someone.

Yup, I wonder if there is a fuse behind the head unit that has gone as I cant see any problems anywhere else.

no there is not

are the screens still powerin up

have you checked for volts at the multi plug that goes to the vcr

had a lot of the same problem with mine

took it all out in the end

and upgraded to bigger screens and dvd

the vcr cables go under the drivers chair, then to the module, under console in between the 2 front chairs

check to see if there is power going there also

i have still got my vcr which im gonna take in for repair someday soon

let us know how you get on

I get no power in the multiplug to the vcr. The screens dont power up. It just has to be a fuse but I have pulled them all from the fuse box and there are no issues. I cant believe I could have blown the system.

The multimedia kit will not power up unless it receives a feed from the headunit (when u turn on the headunit it sends a voltage to the centre console) not at home so can't check the TIS but i seem to remember that there might be a fuse under the drivers seat....

5 amp fuse under the drivers seat! TIS lists it as 'P45 Fuse Holder 1, vehicle floor under RH front seat'

Hope this is the one!

iv had this same problem there is a small current going into the VCR its only 1 volt. :-( the screens don't come on but the little console lights up when you press screen 1 , or 2 pressed the remote but that don't do anything.

and still cant seem to find this "fuse" under the driver seat. ...Help
