Door Noise On Closure

Hi All,

 

Just noticed on the front passenger door that when the window is fully down (haven

the door does close ok? when it's shut is there any movement if you push against it? could it be the the latch is a little loose allowing the door to move slightly due to the extra buffetting with the window open? stick your fingers in around the door seal and see if you can feel any extra movement? when this happpens or just try adjusting the striker so the door closes tighter against the seal and seeing if that helps>?

Before diving into the door and stripping it, just check the door strap is secure. I had a similar problem - it was the bolts on the strap (car side) which had become loose...

I second that - just had to tighten the drivers side door strap but it made more noise when opening - a horrible double click -_-

Yep me too. Two bolts loose on passenger side.

Noise gone when re-tightened.

Door closes fine - no movement at all.

 

Have tried the door strap and was done up fine.

 

The noise sounds like its the whole window rattling inside the door some how?
