Guest gooner52 Posted July 23, 2006 Report Posted July 23, 2006 anyone got any ideas i see ref in a old topic in this section where member had no wipers or front blower, and it was down to relay 149 thnks Quote
seatkid Posted July 23, 2006 Report Posted July 23, 2006 What is the month/year? Does your Galaxy have standard headlights or HID? Chances are its the large 110A fuse F106 in the Battery Junction Box which is located in the engine bay. If its blown, take care when replacing, its possible you have a short in the loom somewhere! Try switching off all electrical stuff and use a small fuse (or 15A fuse wire) and turn on the ignition - check that it doesnt just blow again! Quote
mumof4 Posted July 23, 2006 Report Posted July 23, 2006 I am assuming the battery junction box is the same as the main fuse feed box????as i believe the wiper fuse is in the main fuse feed box.Or is the battery junction box the silver fuse box at the back of the engine bay? Quote
Guest gooner52 Posted July 23, 2006 Report Posted July 23, 2006 hi guys thanks for the replys have checked the bjb it says as you say the 110a fuse which is fine i have sent power to the yellow and black wire on the ignition and i have power going to all the things that was not working. would this mean my ignition barrel is naft as i have no power to the yellow/black wire when i turn to pos 2 and thank you very much for your help Quote
Guest gooner52 Posted July 23, 2006 Report Posted July 23, 2006 hi seat kid its a december 2002 has normal headlights the problem seems to be no volts going to the yellow/black wire at the ignition could it be a relay faulty,if so how do i test them thank you for your time Quote
seatkid Posted July 23, 2006 Report Posted July 23, 2006 You do indeed seem to have a duff ignition switch. 12 volts goes in on the red and red/yellow and should leave on the yellow/black and black wires when turned to pos 2 (normal run pos)...... check the red wire has permanent 12v as this is the source for the yell/black feed.... The switch should be accessable once the cowling is removed. Quote
