  HOW DO YOU CURE THE WATER IN THE FOOTWELL PROBLEM, OR CANT IT BE PREVENTED ??

By fixing the leak to the rear screenwash, or the leak in the sunroof drain pipes. Lift carpet and have a good look. The leak should not be a standard-fit "item" and is not a compulsory optional extra either! Good luck (see other threads on this site; use search facility if necessary).

Is the footwasher still standard fit on facelifted Galaxy?

That was my only problem with the MK1 when I had one of those (apart from the thirst of my 2.8 V6!)

They're not interested.

All claims go back to VAG gmbh.....

You still cannot understand the Ford/VAG relationship can you?

Despite all the information provided. Or are you deliberate in misinformation?

 WOULD WATER ENTER THE FOOTWELL/ UNDER SEAT AREA, BY ANY OTHER MEANS OTHER THAN THE REAR SCREENWASH FEED, OR SUNROOF DRAINS...

SEVERE WEATHER PERHAPS ?? ...,

I SEEM TO REMEMBER SOMEONE GIVING THE REMEDY FOR THE INFILTRATION OF WATER FROM HEAVY RAIN ETC...MAYBE THIS IS NOT ACCURATE...

WHAT IF ANY VEHICLE ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT, IS IN DANGER FROM SAID WATER INGRESS ??

Another possibility is a leak from the base of the front screen, if the bonding wasn't done correctly - for instance if you've had a new screen fitted. This could be tested by pouring a bucket or two of water over the base of the screen.

just a thought if still the same from mk1 check pollen filter plastic casing these get cracked when new filter forced in allowing water in and playing havoc with electrics,. freind of mine only had his galaxy 3 hours went shopping, left it in carpark locked up, came back 1 hour later due to rain all windows down doors unlocked.

the dealer had car twice before they cured it on third attempt. gary
