Guest Mr Bean Posted July 22, 2006 Report Posted July 22, 2006 Hi Please can somebody tell me if I change the cambelt on my car will it affect the air conditioning. I had the belt done on a 30,000 service and I was told it may have disrupted the gasses when the pulleys were changed. I didn't really notice a change in the performance of the air conditioning but as I have only in the last month recharged A/C, I need to know in case my garage tells me otherwise. Cheers Beanie Quote
Masked Marauder Posted July 22, 2006 Report Posted July 22, 2006 Nah, that's bollocks. The Aux belt drives the aircon, it is either driving the pulley or it's not. Disrupted the gasses! What a load of gas! Quote
Guest neil_wiles Posted July 22, 2006 Report Posted July 22, 2006 Sounds Like a Quik Fit Fitter style comment to me bugger all to do with the cam belt and even if they had removed and retightened the aux belt it certainly wouldnt disturb the gasses anymore than would actually running the engine with the air con pump engaged.... Nah as MM said Bollocks.... Quote
