Has anyone had the same problem. At times you would lose power especially on motorways when wanting to overtake something, but if you turn the ignition off and then back on it would be fine until it did it again. I took the car into a ford main dealer and they could not find anything, they tightend some hose clips !!

I then took it back once it had done the fault and made sure the technician could drive it whilst it had lack of power. They made calls to Ford who said it was the turbo.

The turbo was replaced and then the car would harly rev above 2-3000 revs. It was then put on a diagnostic machine to be told that the Air Man Valve needed replacing. This was then replaced. The engine now revs and is drivable but is lacking power until you get to higher revs, then it is fine.

When pulling away or in 2nd gear it is very poor to respond, going up a hill would be very slow if it got there at all.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi

my Galaxy had exactly the same symptoms I changed the Mass Air Flow meter (MAF) for an original Bosch (not one of the cheapies available) and fingers crossed it is running well
