Masked Marauder Posted July 15, 2006 Report Posted July 15, 2006 Poo! Totally slow, the security is over intrusive and it munches your memory like nothing else I know. Some nice touches, but it all seems like eye-candy. Quote
Bigjeeze Posted July 15, 2006 Report Posted July 15, 2006 Well it won't be too long before it goes the way of Windows 98 - then you'll be sorry! Quote
seatkid Posted July 16, 2006 Report Posted July 16, 2006 I've been wrong before but.....I think Microsoft has lost the plot. Everytime they upgrade OS's or Developer tools they insist on reinventing the wheel (why?) - and expect everyone to blindly follow. I reckon BG stepping down will coincide with Microsoft imploding into a black hole (and about time too!) I've tried to switch from using VB6 (with c++) to VB 2005, but the documentation.... its just MS gobbledygook! No wonder they're giving their developer tools away for free nowadays, I would pay for this carp. This time I refuse to relearn everything from scratch....again. ....remember the advertising campaign for Windows 98? "The hour glass is a thing of the past...." One of a zillion lies put out each year by Microsoft. ....and yesterday my Sony Vaio laptop suddenly proclaimed (after a year) that I "may be a victim of software counterfeiting" ....WHAT THE ???? Masked Marauder Posted July 16, 2006 Author Report Posted July 16, 2006 You can still buy Vesta ready-meals, and you will still still be hungry after you have eaten it! That is where Microsoft got their inspiration from but they made a real meal out of it...... Quote
