Hello

My wipers had siezed and thanks to this forum was well informed of the problem when I had then freed and greased by a local mechanic.

But upon picking up the car noticed there it had generally more engine noise and this was more so when I took my foot of the accelerator (growling/ rougher), but performance is still good.

I noted that the air filter casing was not fitted tight, but then noticed the air filter. It can't sit square in the casing, basically as it is 2cm too wide, and you need to bend one side to allow you to put the air filter housing on - This can't be correct surely? Also the air filter housing has a clip missing but that may have gone a long time ago.

So how should the air filter sit? I'm not a mechanic but logic says something is not right.

BTW - Air filter provided by Nationwide autocentre (unipart brand) for the 70 k service.

Thanks

Put it the right way up (metal grid at the top) and try turning it 90 deg. If it still don't fit go back and ask for one that does.
