Guest thomas98520 Posted July 8, 2006 Report Posted July 8, 2006 My car ABS is screwed up..everytime i tap my brake it flashes the "Anti-Lock" msg on my dash. My brakes seem to work fine around town, but when i get up to higher speeds, they go out, and the light on the dash is solid and the brakes go out for awhile. I still have some brakes when its like this but its very dangerous, there is very little brakes when its like this. If anyone could help with this problem, any advice is appreciated. Im coming here first cause i dont have the money to take my car in at the moment thats why I am gonna ask this question also..i was thinkin of what i could do, and i came up with the idea of unpliggin my ABS and just have normal brakes. My question is..Is there something wrong with this? Does it hurt my brakes at all not usin the anti lock system..? Im not big on cars at all, any advice or anything would be greatly appeciated. Also, my AIM name is titan98520 if any of you could help this may be a easier way to comunicate if possible. Quote
sepulchrave Posted July 9, 2006 Report Posted July 9, 2006 This is caused by having intermittant sensor fault usually due to broken wiring, just unplug the sensors until the abs light comes on and stays on. Quote
