chesh100 Posted July 4, 2006 Report Posted July 4, 2006 Heading up to Leicester Uni tomorrow with one of the kids for a look see! Starting point is South Essex, I feel it would be best to avoid the M25 and M1 route, so am thinking about going up the M11 then A14 and finally A6. Starting journey about 8am ish. Could anyone in these areas advise on traffic/road conditions please. Thanks in advance Quote
Masked Marauder Posted July 4, 2006 Report Posted July 4, 2006 That is the route I would take anyway because of some bad roadworks on the M25 and on the M1 At that time of the day the only place you are really likely to get delayed much is at Dartford. Have a safe trip! Quote
chesh100 Posted July 4, 2006 Author Report Posted July 4, 2006 Thanks, glad to think that someone agrees that the motorways are often slower to get anywhere nowdays, all these road works are a real pain. Quote

Ivor_E_Tower Posted July 4, 2006 Report Posted July 4, 2006 You'll be in good company - my wife got 2 tickets within 24 hours from the same camera on the A30 a few years back. First we knew about it was 2 identical-looking envelopes on the doormat one Saturday morning. Quote
