Good morning

 

Can someone out there tell me what the spark plug gap should

 

be set to , as i want my son to fit my galaxy with new plugs as they

 

havent been changed in the last 3 years .

 

Is it a easy job fitting new spark plugs ??

If I remember correctly from my younger days, regardless of make or model of car, all plugs should be gapped to the thickness of the cardboard from a cigarette packet. The correct way to close the gap is to tap the electrode on anything hard, usually the nearest kerb-stone. :D :( :D

Yeah, I remember that... :D

 

Plug gap for the 2.0/2.3 is 1.0mm, though I suspect the plugs come pre-gapped - they certainly do for the 2.3. Looks pretty straightforward on the 2.0 litre.

 

Bosch FR5DP1X for the 2.0, according to Mr Haynes. :(

Thanks guys these are the plugs i have got

All done

was'nt a bad job except for number 1 plug as there was a pipe in the way

so the pipe had to be pulled off then went ok with getting no1 out and new plug in

4,3,2 was easy

 

took 1/2 hour to do 4,3,2 and 20 mins to do no 1

 

local garage quote to fit plugs
