gazza007 Posted July 31, 2006 Report Posted July 31, 2006 I have always had that thought in the past but 1 claim( hit gate post) in last five years makes me think of giving it a try. It's such a rip off. Quote
mumof4 Posted July 31, 2006 Report Posted July 31, 2006 I see your point there.....but me being me would need the lower excess!!   Must admit that in the last 4 months..(only 4 months?????)..i have become more confident in my driving with only the odd hiccup here and there..(and tree). Since you only had one claim in last 5 yrs..go for the lower one.I searched high and low for 4 days looking for our car insurance.I used confused .com and found that their quotes were actually higher than going to the actual website they got the quote from.Have you tried More Than?????They CAN be cheap also. gazza007 Posted July 31, 2006 Report Posted July 31, 2006 Yes MO4, I agree you use moneysupermarket & Confused, they initially come up with good prices but when you select them they go sky high.Makes me laugh with Morethan as happy chap has a Gal.I think Insurance should be more like 'pay as you go' as today I have cycled to work!! Quote
mumof4 Posted July 31, 2006 Report Posted July 31, 2006 Now that would be an idea!!!! ..mind..would cost me a fortune if they did that!!    Quote
gazza007 Posted July 31, 2006 Report Posted July 31, 2006 Not rained for weeks, decided to cycle to give cold weld on wiper mounting an extra day.Guess what its now raining rain Quote
Andrew T Posted July 31, 2006 Report Posted July 31, 2006 I used confused .com and found that their quotes were actually higher than going to the actual website they got the quote from. Good tip! I was just about to renew using confused, and found I can save another tenner by going direct to the company. I owe you a pint ! Confused quite rightly get a comission off the companies they send business to, which I suspect is Quote
Guest BagPuss Posted July 31, 2006 Report Posted July 31, 2006 SK8 areaWhere do you find out how your area is rated? Galaxy is insured as a second Vehicle behind the Scirocco. So HIC (Herts Insurance Consultants) mirror all my bonus across  So the Scirocco costs me Quote
