Guest nigey Posted June 29, 2006 Report Posted June 29, 2006 Hi, I need a new engine for my 1998 galaxy 1.9 tdi. Ive been told that before I can buy a new one I need to know what the engine code. Apparently the chances are it is an 'AVG' code but I cant find it anywhere. Apparently it will be somwhere on the engine itself. Can anyone help, ive rang ford but they told me to ring Volkswagon because its their engine, but Volkswagon said I need to contact Ford, until I find out the code I cant buy a new engine, its really frustrating.
