Purge Valve Noise

hi i have a ford galaxy v6 nreg and its make a chugging noise it comes and goes i have located it to the purge valve when i disconnect it goes its like a pulsing noise when pipes off but connect pipe and makes a chugging noise any help please

hi mate, i have just changed my maf and now all of a sudden got what sounds like the discriptions as you are having, but before i had the new maf fitted it didnt do it so i am taking the maf back for another one to check that it is a t fault , thats exactly what my car is doing now with the new maf fitted strange one this, anyway hope you find the answers here smoggy
