Am I alone is disliking the clock in the dashboard of the Galaxy?

Now the question is - does anyone know where I can find a digital one to fit the hole, if such a thing exists?

Thanks all,

I also prefer the analog...but I find it very hard to see, especially in bright sunlight, and I find it hard to make out when I have the lights on (in that fetching pink colour the dash has...)

Oh good, I'm not alone in liking the analogue clock!

As for digital - try buying a cheapo car-accessory shop stick-on type, then velcro-ing it to the headlining bump just by the rear-view mirror - where ISTR the digital clock is located on the "original" Galaxy.

I'm with you Taliska, I hate the analog clock, should be a nice blue backlit LCD

Humm.. must have set something up wrong here, didn't get any replies sent to my email address...

Not keen on the cheapo digital plus velcro option

Well at least someone thinks that it's no so good.

As I haven't got the car quite yet (due next weekend), I'll see if I can grow to like it.

Mind you, if anyone else does from a tasteful digital one... just let me know.

I had a digital clock in my first galaxy - guess what - it dropped out and hung by a wire for a week or 2 and wouldn't go back in !

So I like the analogue clock for no other reason than it stays put !

However - the kids in the back could see the digital one much easier as it was roof mounted - now not only do I get "are we there yet?" I also get "what time is it dad ?"

So Taliska, you've had the Galaxy a little while now, has the analog clock grown on you at all or do you still dislike it ? :D

Hi Howard,

Yes, had it a few weeks now and unfortunately the analogue clock hasn't grown on me yet! It's not the easiest clock to read in the world either.

Somehow the oval nature of it doesn't seem to fit in too well with the round nature of the rest of the 'clocks' and indicators.

Car's fine overall - just taken all the (removable) seats out this morning - they're quite heavy! Guess I won't need to do that too often!

I think that it'll be a case of 'live and let live' with the analogue clock.

Cheers,

You can get a digital clock display on the radio via the RDS Clock Time function.

Trouble is, it reverts to radio/CD/Tape info after a few seconds.

If you could find a way of stopping this, you would have your solution!

Well it seems to me if the only thing that gets complained about are the clock, speaker grills and the auxilary heater then tha Galaxy ain't a bad motor to have. :)

I like the analogue clock and the position is handy as it saves me looking down for the time. Mine went wrong shortly after delivery and had to be replaced but replacement works fine.

I don't mind the analogue clock... except that the backlight is too dim at night.

Does anyone know whether you can fit a bigger bulb?
