(if you have sports mode) - wondering if its the same autobox as the galaxy - I assume it isIts the same as galaxy ag5 tiptronic gearbox ,the whole car vibrates from 3000 revs onwards until it changes to 4th gear, in all other situations seems to work ok. lazyb5 Posted July 1, 2006 Report Posted July 1, 2006 Hi zepi too have the 2002 115 ps auto but without vibration. Years ago i had a granada with an auto box which had a vibration in fact it was almost a rumble. Fords said it would cost about 300 quid but i spoke to a small garage which did nothing but transmissions they said it was more likely the seal onthe input shaft it cost me 50 quid to fix. Obviously things have moved on but i would go to a small independant or two before going to main dealer. It will at least give you an idea of real cost. Please tell us all what it is when you find out because its bound to happen to ours sooner or later :P Quote
zeplin43 Posted July 7, 2006 Author Report Posted July 7, 2006 well guys after speaking to mechanic about this vibration issue he told me the first thing to do was to balance my wheels doing this i found they where slightly out of balance and now the vibration has stoped. Quote
