Graham Smith Posted June 23, 2006 Report Posted June 23, 2006 I've only had my Galaxy 04 for about a month now. When switching on the car, we first noted that the CC display panel was flashing. We just thought this was normal until we read the manual. We obviously found out that this just means there's a problem with the CC. We took it to the local Ford garage, and they told us that it needed a new recirculation motor, but because this motor was do difficult to get to (they have to take the whole dash out), they didn't want to start the job on a Friday, just incase they broke anything and they needed to order in new parts. Anyway - we gave them the car on Monday. They had it Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Eventually they phoned to say it was a HUGE job, as they had to remove the whole dash. They told us the car would be ready that afternoon. Later that afternoon, they phoned to say that they'd put it back together, but that the error is still showing! Could they keep it another day? Friday came and they still haven't been able to work out what the problem is. Now - they want to have the car ALL next week, to take the dash out AGAIN to try to work what's wrong with it! I'll keep you posted! PS - I'm glad I haven't got to pay for all this work Quote
sanjsanj Posted June 23, 2006 Report Posted June 23, 2006 by that do you mean you have warranty? Quote

Graham Smith Posted June 23, 2006 Author Report Posted June 23, 2006 Do get back to us with whatever the problem turns out to be. Cheers.Oggy. I sure will post what the problem turns out to be. Just as an aside, even thought I bought the car second hand, Ford are honouring the warranty. Quote
Alhambra Posted June 23, 2006 Report Posted June 23, 2006 My CC display was flashing for the past few weeks, only this evening i discovered that the pipe below has a leak in it, on the inside of its bend....... bet you that's what wrong with your car. http://www.serviceengineer.utvinternet.com/images/leaking-pipe.jpg Quote
Alhambra Posted June 24, 2006 Report Posted June 24, 2006 The pipe pictured in the post above is located between the radiators & the engine sump. It comes from the CC condensor/compressor & continues up behind the rads & the curves off & on towards the bulkhead via the inner wing area.... its seems to be a bitch to replace.... cost Quote
