Guest Gadget Posted September 25, 2003 Report Posted September 25, 2003 Help,The car was fantastic when I 1st got it (P reg second hander)I soon noticed a puddle of oil which upon investigation turned out to be a cracked end plate. This was renewed by the dealer (warranty).Noticed that it was still dumping oil big time.Found out that the garage that did the job had over filled it and blown the heat exchanger seals. This too was sorted out under warranty. Now the heart breaker. From cold, the car judders/stalls in forward or reverse. It seems to snatch into gear. The problem slowly goes away as she warms up.Could this be down to an oil level problem or is it pointing to something more sinister and expensive. Anyone had anything similar ? Any replies will be gratefully received as this is the only thing spoiling my enjoyment of this car. regards Gadget (Ron) Quote
Ivor_E_Tower Posted September 26, 2003 Report Posted September 26, 2003 Have you checked the transmission oil level? Sounds like it may be related to the hydralic clutch/torque converter and as the oil warms up, it helps to minimise the symptoms Quote
