Guest StephC Posted June 19, 2006 Report Posted June 19, 2006 Sometime ago the alarm/remote central locking on my 2003 Ka stopped responding to the remote control. The only way I have found to get around this is to remove the fuse and reinsert it. Then it will respond to the remote control. This was an intermittent problem, but in the end I got fed-up and started locking the door manually (and not setting the alarm). I'm not too bothered about the alarm, but I would like to be able to use the remote central locking. Does anyone know whether the fuse itself has blown (although why would it work after reinserting). Or is it more likely to be due to the contact with the fuse. I would be grateful for any advice as I don't want to take it to a Ford garage if it is just a simple problem! ThanksSteph
