Not Firing First Time

Hi,

 

MY Alhambra 1.9 tdi 2001, its getting more regular that when starting the car from cold, the engine just turns over but dosnt fire, so you start from scratch letting the glow plugs operate then it fires up, any ideas as to what the problem may be

try turning ignition on to last position 3 or 4 times allowing glowplug light to go out each tim - without turning the engine over then try and start it, if it starts straight away it probably is glowplugs. Maybe air getting into a fuel line somewhere and it needs turning over a couple of times to clear it although this doesn't seem a common galaxy problem.

subtle ? mwa ? me thinks its glow plugs just by chance i read it when i got delivery in. if i can help somebody as ive been helped many times on here and put beans on my toast then i will.
