garrymossley Posted June 16, 2006 Report Posted June 16, 2006 Hi, MY Alhambra 1.9 tdi 2001, its getting more regular that when starting the car from cold, the engine just turns over but dosnt fire, so you start from scratch letting the glow plugs operate then it fires up, any ideas as to what the problem may be Thanks Quote

NikpV Posted June 16, 2006 Report Posted June 16, 2006 Hi, MY Alhambra 1.9 tdi 2001, its getting more regular that when starting the car from cold, the engine just turns over but dosnt fire, so you start from scratch letting the glow plugs operate then it fires up, any ideas as to what the problem may be Thanks try turning ignition on to last position 3 or 4 times allowing glowplug light to go out each tim - without turning the engine over then try and start it, if it starts straight away it probably is glowplugs. Maybe air getting into a fuel line somewhere and it needs turning over a couple of times to clear it although this doesn't seem a common galaxy problem. Quote
