Guest peter312 Posted June 14, 2006 Report Posted June 14, 2006 Having been reading some of the posts in here, I'm tempted to change the stereo in my Mk2. The obvious choice seems to be to get a single din unit and the "half din" blanking strip from Ford to fill the void. However, as I understand it, if I buy the radio fascia designed for the sat nav, it will convert the radio hole to double din, meaning I can either fit a standard double din unit or 2 single din units. Please would someone be kind enough to help me with some questions? My (admittedly) stupid questions are:Are my assumptions about the double din correct? How do you stack 2 single din units so the top one doesn't fall off?Does anyone know the part number an price for the sat nav radio fascia? Thanks peeps! Marky Posted June 15, 2006 Report Posted June 15, 2006 Hi Peter...answer to your questions... 1. Yes!! 2. You'd have 2 metal cages so you should be able to 'tie' these in together somehow or maybe just a small piece of foam between the two units? Something you may have to 'adjust' once you've fitted them. 3. F1319217 (BEZEL ASSY) Quote
