I would too to give 768Mb but the cheapest option is buying a 256 making 512Mb

ul Nik :P

Marauder, I bow to your superior knowledge of computing history, and adjust my comment to "That wasnt even a high spec 3 years ago". I hope this is more pleasing to your ego ?

I think it has more to do with it being less bruising to yours.

it is quite a high spec pc. (2.8 ghz pentium 4 with 1gb ram)

ok that wasnt even a high spec 4 years ago

I think you will find that that was above top spec for a home user 4 years ago. The P4 2.8GHz was not released until the start of Q4 in 2002, mainstream channels were not supplied with them until early December 2002. And 512Mb of RAM was considered standard then.

Was reading in PCFormat last week that the average home pc spec at the moment is a P4 2.4 Ghz with 512mb ram. So mine is still above average spec for the average home user now. Maybe it isn't high spec compared to yours, but still QUITE high spec (as stated in my original post) compared to most.
