Ok here we go...

 

How do I start.

 

NU what a pile of donkey droppings, I have my insurance with this company and the call centre is now in India. They accepted a claim for damage to my garage roof, a small broken panel of corrugated asbestos.

OK agreed to replace the whole roof as the contractors wont repair the asbestos sheets.

Monday arrives a welsh contractor arrives to remove the roof.

All goes well and the roof is removed and cleared.

Tuesday the contractors who are to re-fit the new roof sections dont arrive, lost paperwork and no material mean the arrive at about lunchtime.

They sit around till about three in the afternoon as they dont know how to fit the sheets as the fixings cant be brought anymore and the new type need the purlings the other way up.

Wednesday spend half the day turning the (bolted together) purlings over and fit three sheets out of twenty to the roof.

Thursday, OK horrific storms through thte night mean emergency work elsewhere (I thought mine was bit of an emergency actually) then they didnt bother to arrive at all.

 

Spoke to the contractor onfriday morning to ensure the completion of thejob before friday night all agreed.

 

Friday night and guess what NO FRIGGING ROOF finished.

 

Insurance company reply......I can phone you back on Monday

Contractor reply.....Well its the best we can do

Loss Adjuster reply.... If your insurers raise the priority we can get a contractor to come over the weekend to finish it.

 

 

Has this world gone completely mad a two day job and its now end of day five and its still not finished.

Sorry to hear that Neil....kinda put my probs of today into perspective!!!!

 

Mine isnt really a rant....just sad...i wiped my pc by accident today..totaly, everything gone.zip..nada..not even a start menu!!!!How did i do this ???well....firstly i blame hubby as he looked at porn..downloaded aswell..i switch on pc this morn and a message pops up saying my pc is infected and to press cleanup to get rid of whatever it was.so i did.5 mins later my pc was clean..very clean.too clean!!!!!!the fun i had..

 

My bit is....buy bloody mags!!!!!!cheaper.....less hassle......no virus...no crap.....and best of all it means the pc is left free of pop ups!!!also means you dont have to spend bloody hours trying to figure out exactly what happened..(thanks trev for your help today and Neil for getting me up and running again)..ah well....password up and running..he'll never guess this one!!!!!!!
