lydanial Posted June 11, 2006 Author Report Posted June 11, 2006 1400 wow thats low.. i reckon they probably bought it after owning something with real low centre of gravity and then just over pushed it not realising the damn thing will fall over :( Quote
mumble_bee Posted June 11, 2006 Report Posted June 11, 2006 um that ad's been running for over 2 months I've emailed that seller a few times "clonkychloe" he/she generally does not reply to questions.he/she is quite RUDE when they DO reply - which is 1in 10. so good luck Quote
Justice Posted June 11, 2006 Report Posted June 11, 2006 I have had dealing with them as well , and your better off going to Fraud and buy it new as the prices they gave me were only 15/20% off new price. Quote

Bigjeeze Posted June 13, 2006 Report Posted June 13, 2006 That's fine - just as long aas he teaches them to put them back together again - Bit like this forum really!!! Quote
Masked Marauder Posted June 13, 2006 Report Posted June 13, 2006 Nick, you may be able to help me with something: If you had some air in a hydro-elastic suspension setup would it just compress and the car still balance out evenly? I would imagine it should as the pressure would be even front to rear as there is no restrictors, just the connecting pipe between the two pressure domes. Quote
Guest neil_wiles Posted June 13, 2006 Report Posted June 13, 2006 We used to raise Metros by using a footpump and Fluid through the schrader as Air would not function correctly so I would think the answer is no it would not balance correctly. Quote
Masked Marauder Posted June 13, 2006 Report Posted June 13, 2006 I filled mine up using a converted grease gun, it is not air in there, it is proper fluid, only the car is sitting higher at the rear. As I had to drain and refill it to work on the rear arms I am trying to decide if I have put the suspension components back wrong or if it is air in the back units.... Quote
Guest neil_wiles Posted June 13, 2006 Report Posted June 13, 2006 I would think this is likely that you have a valve round the wrong way as it is probably retaining all the pressure and not bleeding into the diaphram which creates the suspension movement and damping. Quote
Masked Marauder Posted June 14, 2006 Report Posted June 14, 2006 There are no valves, just the two nitrogen filled diaphragm spheres and a pipe connecting them front to rear. I would have thought the pressure would have balanced. The back end of my car is in the air and no one knows why! Quote
Guest neil_wiles Posted June 14, 2006 Report Posted June 14, 2006 The front to rear pipe has a valve I am sure its a proportioning pressure valve to level the body front to rear not side to side I will have a check when i get home and sort out the relevant bit of paper and try and scan them for posting here.
