Did you get copies of your original and changed maps as part of the deal?

Not that you would want to go back to normal now!

What is the fuel consumption like?

can you post the link to website please :(

the thing with these engines is, they are UNDERTUNED.. this is because there has to be a balance throughout the world.. ie if you tune a car for its max potential when you have a climate like the uk then it may fail in hotter or colder climates..

Its nothing to do with the climates in different countries ...its to do with the standard of fuel supplied in each country! The majority of european cars have their ECU's mapped so they will run optimally on a generic standard of fuel. Here in the UK we lucky in the fact the quality of fuel you buy here is excellent. All you have done is optimised the performance of your car to run here on UK fuel. Just wait til you drive on the continent and try some of the French fuel. It'll run like a bag of spanners

Oh, and temperature effects air density, thats why the car runs better in cold damp conditions

remap update!

just got back from sunny Scarborough, where James at Chipboost remapped my 115tdi - probably nopw up to around 145 - 150 bhp and it drives absolutely beautifully

it's a very smooth drive, but the Gal is more responsive and just eats up those hills in high gear

for anyone that knows Staxton hill, the Gal flew up there in 4th and was eager to go into 5th (this is a very steep hill ordinarilly requiring a drop doen into third to get to the top)

whiilst the car is quiicker upto 60, it's between 60 and 90 where you notice the differecne - the thing is jsut eager to acceleerate in 6th with all the increased torque

i've had mine done because i tow a large caravan - can't wait to see what difference it makes to that

I'd agreed a price of
