No3 injector, it is used by the ECU to help time the fuel-pump for small corrections to the pump timing

If this was faulty, ''what problems will this cause''.

Would this cause the engine to crank over for a while when warm before starting ??

Possibly, but I doubt it, that would more likely be down to loss of compression caused by worn rings and/or bores from a worn engine.

But mine does it too, starts first turn of the key when cold and the glow plugs are on, but you need to crank it for a few seconds when warm. And I know there is not a lot wrong with my engine. Are you sure your not just getting paranoid?

If it makes you feel better - I just replaced our maf and the original was in perfect condition - I could have sold it on ebay(if I was dishonest) you couldn't tell until you drove it that it had aged :D

''WELL THEN''

I took the car to the Auto Elecs this morning at 8:30

Just fetched it back 5:15

they have had the engine running quite a bit today

they firstly put the engine diagnostic machines on it(same things the main dealor would use)

NO FAULTS FOUND

Took car a run round got it warm, put the engine diagnostic machines on for the second time

NO FAULTS FOUND

took a third time a good run No oil lights flashing No engine managment lights flashing

put the engine diagnostic machines on for the 3rd time

NO FAULTS

they looked in the engine bay, for signs of anything things that look out of the ordinary

EVERY THING SEEMS OK

When i collected it i asked how much i owed

COST was NOTHING yes NOTHING ( i could'nt beleive it)

I was told to run the car as normal either localy or motorway

and if at any time should the Engine managment light or Oil light come

Go straight back to the garage so they can hook it up to the machines again

thought id just add this info

cheers
