JDF Posted June 7, 2006 Report Posted June 7, 2006 Hi All, I've had a quick search, but can't find any step by step instructions on changing the brake pads on a galaxy. Can anyone give me some advice? :D 1. Whats the best method to raise the front of the car,? (Due to Fords crap sill, as ours have been slightly damaged in the past. Luckily not as badly as some I have seen....) 2. I was going to clamp the flexible brake pipes and open the bleed nipple before pushing the caliper piston back, is this correct? 3. On the front is this just a simple push back piston or is it a wind back one? 4. Is there just one type of brake pad fitted on a MK1 Galaxy 2.3GLX (1998)? 5. Any other helpfull hints and tips? If I get time I might write a step by step guide with photo's if anyone thinks that this would be helpfull.... Cheers in advance for your help!!! Quote
Masked Marauder Posted June 7, 2006 Report Posted June 7, 2006 1. Trolly jack under the wishbone mounting point, It is hard metal. 2. Yes, it is strongly recommended you do it that way 3. Push. 4. No Idea, but I don't think the brakes are any different on any of the models that year. Quote
