Rev's Up

Hi all new to this site, used to have a scorpio(yes i know), but now R-reg 2.3 ghia.

Anyway every time I press in the clutch, the engine revs up ?. I dont think this is normal :unsure: , so anybody with any ideas please. :unsure:

Some ideas....

 

If the rev rise is relatively small, this is normal (you have removed the gearbox load).

... or there is no oil in the gearbox...

 

This could be a cruise control issue?

do the revs fall away as you hold the clutch in?

Hi, put the clutch in and it rev's up little and then go's back to normal.
