NikNak Posted November 10, 2003 Author Report Posted November 10, 2003 sorry pj, but mine is 'Spruce Green' i can assure you. Try taking a pic from a different angle, or in a different light (and no, not when it's dark !!), as mine does seem to change colour in different lighting conditions....... FIX THE LIGHT....... !! that's the least of my worries at the moment. You should have seen the state of the place when we moved in. It's been nothing but decorate, decorate, decorate, spend, spend, spend............. but hey, it's starting to look real good now B) cheers all.... Nick Quote
pj_andrew Posted November 10, 2003 Report Posted November 10, 2003 You know, I took the dealers word for what the colour was. My mwife liked it and that was good enough for me. Neptune, Spruce or even candy floss green! - as long as it looks good ! Quote
iainkirk Posted November 10, 2003 Report Posted November 10, 2003 Yup, That's definitely Neptune Green. Like I said in my earlier post above, Spruce Green is one of the four shades of silver!! Quote
Dally Posted November 10, 2003 Report Posted November 10, 2003 Neptune Green it is! - I owned one for about an hour!! Quote
Dally Posted November 11, 2003 Report Posted November 11, 2003 Dave-G Well It's like this.... I changed my 2.3 Zetec for a 2.8 v6 about 2/3 weeks ago. I originally chose a 52 registered version in neptune green with the normal V6 spec though I really wanted some extra gadgets too. This model was best available at the time and had low mileage (only 5K). During order time and collection time, My wife and I were in two minds as to whether we should wait for one with all the gubbins or accept what we had ordered - we agreed to accept what we had ordered. Anyway on collection day, I was given the keys, log book was completed etc.I played with the vehicle, drove it about for about an hour, had the valeters touch up some bits etc and just at that point, the manager at Motors (Coalville) informed me that a black V6 Auto with sat nav and leather had just arrived - low mileage - (2K) only 5 months old and with curtain airbags etc etc. When I saw it, I knew that this is what I wanted!! - It was worth the extra Quote
Davetheref Posted March 11, 2004 Report Posted March 11, 2004 100% agree with Dally about Motors Coalville. Just picked up my second in a row pre-registered 1.9 Ghia from them and am completly happy with their service. Don't mind driving 150 miles for savings and good service. Quote
Guest PAULDAV Posted March 24, 2004 Report Posted March 24, 2004 :P Hi Folks not wanting to stoke the coals so to speak and despite some of the negativity I am sensing about the Superb Colour Range currently on offer from FMC (spoken like a true Blue Oval Lifer!) I am sorry but there is only one colour for your Galaxy and that is Metropolis Blue absolutely stunning the Wife likes it the Kids X4 like it and I love it. That is even more incredible when you realise I am a lifelong LFC supporter and normally p**e at the mention of the B**e word! :D <_< B) B) :D :D :D :D :D Quote
Ivor_E_Tower Posted March 24, 2004 Report Posted March 24, 2004 Went into my local main (huge) Ford dealer at lunchtime today so see the "new" Galaxy in all its facelifted glory. They don't have one, and haven't had one of the new 2004 year models in yet! They are "possibly" expecting one in a "few weeks". Amasing - I told them I had one that was just over 3 years old (the salesman saw me park it just outside the showroom door and walk in) and was considering changing it, depending on what the new one was like, and I was shown total apathy. They are just turning away potential business on a vehicle that has a list proce of about Quote
JToh Posted March 26, 2004 Report Posted March 26, 2004 Wouldn't be Dees of Wimbledon or Croydon by any chance? I got similar treatment before I bought mine through DrivetheDeal.Com sourced from Bristol Street Birmingham. No models in the showroom, no test drive offered and total lack of interest. After all, I was just another customer!!!! Quote
Ivor_E_Tower Posted March 26, 2004 Report Posted March 26, 2004 No it wasn't. I'm in the GU postcode area and the local main dealer is part (or should that be "prat" as an unintentional typo?) of a large chain that also owns some of the other nearest Ford garages too. Quote
Guest KEITHAMBLER Posted October 11, 2004 Report Posted October 11, 2004 Superb paintless dent removal job on front passenger door!! Done in the rain too. Quote
Richmond Posted October 12, 2004 Report Posted October 12, 2004 This thread was originally about spruce green. I was in a dealers yesterday (MOT) and whiled away a few a seonds looking at a Galaxy in the showroom. It was described as spruce green but was as silver as a silver thing under silvery light on a very silvery day. There was no green in it whatsoever. In other words, it was silver, as far as I could tell the same silver as mine (which could be called spruce green for all I know). Just thought I'd mention it. Quote
