Rip Off?

Took the Galay in for a service, decided not to go to main dealers in Stoke on Trent so went to Formula1 autocentres

When I came to collect the car they said it needed new rear break pads and discs, a complete exhaust and that the CV gator had perished.

 

Total price for the work just over

I know that brake pads/discs cost about 40+ from halfords,an exhaust..i have no idea but brand new they aint cheap..gator..no idea what it is so cant comment on that,

 

If you take off the amount for the service,then it may not be as steep as you think, if you consider that a service is anywhere from 150-200+.

I guess back from cat as everything in front and including the cat gets hot enough not to corrode too much.
