Minor Probs!

Hi Forum people, need your worldly advice.

1. On long or short journeys the light on the termp gauge flashes constantly. Temp stays low all the time??

 

2. Which light on the dash is the break pad light as I have one that stays on all the time. Not had a chance to get a handbook yet so not quite sure.

 

3. Why does my airbag light stay on all the time!!!

p.s why does it say warn 0% on my info and how do i get rid of it!!!!

4..cant get rid..we all have them.if you naughty,get a warning,0 changes to bigger number!! :D

2. Describe the light please, colour, markings ect.

low coolant level? duff sensor? dodgy wiring? check the condition of the plug where it plugs into the level sensor on the expansion bottle?

which light is staying on? the red one that has an ! / p in it or the yellow one that has ABS written in it?

 

3. Why does my airbag light stay on all the time!!!

 

how many air bags do you have? if you only have the one? then it could be that the clock spring has failed? a fairly easy job to replace if you follow the instructions! if you have two? again clock spring or wiring fault, bad connection behind dash? to trace this you would need the car hooking up to computor and the fault codes reading

One light has ! the other has abs!!!

Im thinking that you need new brake pads..this happened to us and we needed new brake pads and discs!

 

 

(i could be wrong though)

 

Have you checked your brake fluid level????

Airbag

Removing and installing coil connector with slip ring > 05.00

 

 

Driver airbag unit and steering wheel removed.

 

‒ Separate single connector for horn.

‒ → Unscrew Phillips screws -1- and pull coil connector with slip ring -2- off the steering wheel.

Note:

 

The steering must be in the centre position (wheels in straight-ahead position) when the coil connector and slip ring are removed and installed.

 

Coil connector with slip ring is secured as a new part in the centre position with a cable tie.
